The Great British Nanny Conference

Did you know that The Great British Nanny Conference is the only CPD Nanny conference in the world currently? This is such a great opportunity for Nannies to come and gain those all important credits for furthering their education whilst having fun.

This years event is a little different, why you may ask? Helen McCarthy the founder and CEO of UK Nanny Ltd explains. “This year we are not holding our conference in a hotel setting but have chosen to give back to the community by holding it at a school in Fulham, after all its where we all started learning in a classroom.”

The conference will start at 10am with a meet and great networking event followed by 2 workshops. Lunch will then be served and the afternoon will offer more workshops and networking.

Meet our speakers.

Paul Moore

Around 24 years ago Paul finished his level 3 NVQ in Health and Social Care and decided he would  like to get a job outside of Leeds for the summer. Paul was lucky enough to find a role at summer camp in the USA as well as finding his passion for childcare.

Between then and now Paul has had a range of roles including Childcare Advisor for a tour operator, Operations Manager for a nursery group, relief staff at various children’s homes and currently CPD Manager for a training group.

Without question his sole charge nanny role is the one that he has enjoyed and learned the most in. One of the key things Paul learnt was, relationships are the foundation of all we provide for children.

To build positive relationships with children, we need to understand their behaviour, to understand behaviours we need consider the developing mental health of children.

Paul will be delivering 2 workshops  Children’s Mental Health and Keeping Children safe on the Internet.

Boogie MitesBoogie Mites

Boogie Mites sprang from Harriet’s love of music. A singer-songwriter, Harriet wrote songs for her daughters and soon developed music workshops for young children. When Sue brought her son to class one day, a partnership was born. Sue saw how Harriet’s workshops support children’s development as well as providing that great feel-good factor.

Today, neuroscience shows that active music making in early years enhances brain development. Boogie Mites tried-and-tested Music Programmes provide the ultimate resource for giving children the opportunity to boost learning, development, and wellbeing through music.

Boogie Mites will be presenting Ship Ahoy, All Onboard The Big Ship Boogie
