Lyndsey Anderson

All things First Aid. Recent Updates and more
Hi, I’m Lyndsey and I run Mini First Aid classes throughout Edinburgh and the Lothians. As a qualified Midwife, first aid trainer, and mum to two teenage boys I’ve dealt with numerous first aid situations and emergencies. I feel passionate that everyone should know first aid as you never know when something will happen and it’s important that you have the confidence and knowledge to deal with the situation. It’s a frightening experience when someone becomes ill or is injured, however our friendly and relaxed classes aim to give you the skills to be able to know what actions to take if faced with a medical emergency.
Katy Lironi

ABC (Achieving Better Communication) Through Play, Songs and Stories in Children with ASN
Katy Lironi has worked as an ABC (Achieving Better Communication) tutor for Down’s Syndrome Scotland for the past 13 years. In this time, she has worked with babies, toddlers, children, teenagers and adults with Down’s syndrome to support them to reach their own communication potential. After many years using Makaton in sessions with children, as well as with her own middle daughter who has Down’s syndrome, Katy qualified as a Makaton tutor, and has since delivered Makaton training and workshops throughout the country to families and professionals who support anyone with a communication difference. She delivers workshops and training online and in-person, for professionals, families and those with communication differences.
One of the highlights of her work in recent years has been developing Choir 21. Choir 21 is a Makaton choir for teenagers and adults with Down’s syndrome. Since starting as an online activity during lockdown, 2023 and 2024 have seen Choir 21 take to the stage and delight audiences with their own unique Makaton signed performances, the highlight of which was being asked to perform as part of the Festival of Politics at the Scottish Parliament at Holyrood in August 2024. Katy is also the Makaton tutor for Aon Ghuth, the first Gaelic Makaton Choir to perform as part of the Royal Highland Mod (Festival of Gaelic language and culture) in Oban in 2024.

My name is Gunna and throughout my professional career I have made toys for my little friends. Then, I got an idea of making them for other children and therefore I started my own Etsy shop. I hope you like the toys because they are handmade by me with love, patience and a pinch of silliness.

Come and meet founder of Glasgow Nanny and UK Nanny of the Year 2023 Stephanie Church.
