Charlotte Warburton is the owner of Little Steps Nanny and Events Agency, serving the South of the UK with Surrey, Hampshire, Berkshire and occasionally London.
Charlotte initially worked as a Nursery Nurse and rapidly progressed in different settings to a Nursery Manager with recruiting a number of childcare professionals along the way, whilst gaining many other relevant childcare qualifications. Quickly realising she wanted to work directly with the children again, she became a Nanny and looked after multiple children, in varying circumstances and roles.
Towards the end of 2019, Charlotte decided she wanted to establish her own business and make a change in the childcare sector; specifically with Nannies and clients. Little Steps Agency launched in January 2020 and took off with a phenomenal successful bang, viewed by many!
Little Steps Agency is a Nanny Agency with a difference.
Charlotte not only interviews Nannies and helps clients find the right match for their family, but she blogs relevant articles, runs competitions, networks with likeminded childcare professionals, provides wedding and corporate event nannies, sources relevant training opportunities and sets high expectations of her candidates. Charlotte has high standards and aspirations for Little Steps Agency and fully supports the UK Nannies Matter Campaign
“The campaign sets out the ideal minimum requirements for nannies and ensures Nannies are treated as professionals; not the home-help. Additionally, Continuous Professional Development (CPD) in a nursery is common practice and is usually paid for by the setting, whereas a Nanny tends to cover the cost of CPD himself or herself. The CPD journey of a Nanny can vary considerably and it tends to benefit the nanny, but it also benefits the employer and child(ren) with a further knowledge and understanding of childcare. The UK Nanny Matters Campaign aims to set out a CPD journey and career path for Nannies. I genuinely believe this will help Nannies in their careers and their professional status within the childcare industry” – Charlotte Warburton
